Senior Director of Cloud & Infrastructure
Lead the combined cloud, infrastructure, and SRE functions — owning the full stack of reliability and operational excellence at TAL Corp.
About This Role
At TAL Corp's scale, cloud and infrastructure are a single strategic function. This Senior Director owns that function entirely — from architecture to cost to team.
Responsibilities
- ▸Lead the combined cloud, infrastructure, SRE, and platform engineering teams (30–50 engineers)
- ▸Own the multi-year cloud and infrastructure strategy aligned with company growth plans
- ▸Drive cloud cost efficiency across a rapidly growing infrastructure estate
- ▸Partner with the CTO on infrastructure architecture decisions
- ▸Manage executive relationships with AWS, GCP, NVIDIA, and major vendors
- ▸Own cloud security, compliance, and business continuity planning
Requirements
- ▸BS/MS in Computer Science or Systems Engineering
- ▸15+ years infrastructure engineering with 7+ years in senior leadership
- ▸Proven track record scaling cloud infrastructure through hypergrowth
- ▸Executive-level communication and board-level reporting experience
- ▸Experience managing cloud spend of $50M+ annually
Nice to Have
- ▸Background in AI/ML infrastructure at scale
- ▸Prior Senior Director or VP Infrastructure at a top tech or AI company
- ▸Experience with both cloud-native and on-premise infrastructure
