Research Engineer

About This Role
Research Engineers at TAL Corp own the infrastructure that lets our scientists move at maximum velocity.
Responsibilities
- ▸Build and maintain high-throughput training and evaluation infrastructure
- ▸Implement research ideas from papers into clean, testable code
- ▸Profile and optimise training runs for GPU efficiency
- ▸Develop internal tooling for experiment tracking and reproducibility
- ▸Work closely with researchers to iterate on model architectures quickly
Requirements
- ▸BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering
- ▸3+ years experience in ML engineering or HPC
- ▸Expert-level Python and PyTorch
- ▸Experience with CUDA, Triton, or custom kernel development
- ▸Strong software engineering fundamentals
Nice to Have
- ▸Experience with JAX or XLA compilation
- ▸Prior work on large-scale distributed systems
- ▸Contributions to open-source ML projects
