NLP Engineer
Build robust natural language processing systems that make TAL models exceptional at understanding and generating human language across all contexts.
About This Role
Language is the primary interface of AGI. The NLP Engineering team makes sure TAL models handle every linguistic edge case, cultural context, and domain with precision.
Responsibilities
- ▸Build and maintain NLP data pipelines — tokenisation, normalisation, language identification
- ▸Develop domain-specific NLP systems — information extraction, entity recognition, classification
- ▸Build multilingual capabilities and language-specific fine-tuning pipelines
- ▸Design evaluation benchmarks for language understanding and generation quality
- ▸Collaborate with model research team on training data quality and linguistic coverage
Requirements
- ▸MS or PhD in Computational Linguistics, NLP, or Computer Science
- ▸3+ years NLP engineering experience
- ▸Expert Python and familiarity with HuggingFace Transformers
- ▸Experience with multilingual models and cross-lingual transfer
- ▸Strong understanding of linguistic theory and language structure
Nice to Have
- ▸Proficiency in multiple languages beyond English
- ▸Background in low-resource language processing
- ▸Experience with speech or audio processing
