Site Reliability Engineer — Trainee

About This Role
Site reliability at an AGI lab is uniquely demanding. As a fresher SRE, you will learn to operate high-availability systems, respond to incidents, and build automation that keeps TAL Corp's infrastructure humming — all under the mentorship of senior reliability engineers.
Responsibilities
- ▸Monitor production systems and respond to alerts under senior SRE guidance
- ▸Write automation scripts to reduce manual operational toil
- ▸Assist in building and maintaining observability dashboards (Grafana, Datadog)
- ▸Participate in on-call rotations with senior engineers and write post-incident reviews
- ▸Complete TAL Corp's 90-day SRE foundations programme covering incident management and infrastructure
Requirements
- ▸BS in Computer Science, IT, or related field (graduated between 2019 and 2026)
- ▸Comfortable with Linux command line, shell scripting, and basic system administration
- ▸Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, load balancing)
- ▸Proficiency in Python or Go for scripting and automation
- ▸Genuine interest in distributed systems and reliability engineering
Nice to Have
- ▸Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
- ▸Exposure to monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
- ▸Participation in open-source infrastructure projects
