Software Engineer — Trainee

About This Role

TAL Corp freshers are not spectators. You will be assigned to a product or platform team, own real tickets, and ship code that reaches millions of users within your first month. We invest heavily in your growth through mentorship, structured learning, and hands-on work.

Responsibilities

▸Build and maintain frontend and backend features under the guidance of a senior engineer
▸Write unit and integration tests for every feature you ship
▸Participate in code reviews — both giving and receiving feedback
▸Attend and contribute to sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
▸Complete TAL Corp's structured 90-day onboarding and technical foundations programme

Requirements

▸BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (graduated between 2019 and 2026)
▸Solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design
▸Proficiency in at least one language — Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java
▸Experience with version control (Git) and basic web development
▸Genuine curiosity about AI and how intelligent systems are built

Nice to Have

▸Personal projects, GitHub portfolio, or open-source contributions
▸Exposure to React, Next.js, or Node.js through coursework or projects
▸Participation in hackathons or competitive programming
