Network Engineer — Trainee

About This Role
AI training demands networks with extreme bandwidth and low latency. As a fresher network engineer, you will learn to configure, troubleshoot, and optimise the networks that connect TAL Corp's GPU clusters and data centres.
Responsibilities
- ▸Assist in configuring network devices — switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers
- ▸Monitor network performance and help troubleshoot connectivity issues
- ▸Maintain network documentation, topologies, and asset inventories
- ▸Support network security audits and access control policy implementation
- ▸Learn to manage SD-WAN, VPN tunnels, and inter-data-centre connectivity
Requirements
- ▸BS in Computer Science, Networking, IT, or related field (graduated between 2019 and 2026)
- ▸Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- ▸Basic knowledge of network security — firewalls, ACLs, VPNs, and IDS/IPS
- ▸Familiarity with Linux networking and command-line troubleshooting tools
- ▸Analytical approach to diagnosing network issues
Nice to Have
- ▸CCNA certification or coursework in progress
- ▸Experience with Wireshark, tcpdump, or network monitoring tools
- ▸Lab experience with network simulators (GNS3, Cisco Packet Tracer)
