Director of Site Reliability Engineering

Build and lead TAL Corp's SRE function — the reliability culture, SLO framework, and on-call systems that keep every service available.

Responsibilities

▸Define and own the SRE strategy and reliability engineering culture at TAL Corp
▸Build and lead a team of senior SREs across product and infrastructure domains
▸Own the SLO/SLA framework and error budget policy company-wide
▸Drive systemic reliability improvements through architecture reviews and postmortems
▸Build the on-call programme — rotation design, tooling, and engineer wellness
▸Partner with engineering leadership on reliability requirements for new systems

Requirements

▸BS/MS in Computer Science or Systems Engineering
▸12+ years engineering with 5+ years SRE leadership
▸Deep expertise in distributed systems reliability, observability, and chaos engineering
▸Experience setting SLO frameworks and driving reliability culture change
▸Strong ability to influence engineering teams without direct authority

Nice to Have

▸Prior SRE leadership at a company with 99.99%+ uptime requirements
▸Background in ML serving infrastructure reliability
▸Experience with chaos engineering programmes at scale
