Data Engineering Intern
Build the data pipelines that fuel AGI — learning to process, transform, and deliver data at massive scale.
About This Role
Data engineering at TAL Corp is not about dashboards. You will build the pipelines that feed training data to models, process billions of tokens, and maintain the data infrastructure that powers frontier AI.
Responsibilities
- ▸Write and maintain data transformation scripts in Python and SQL
- ▸Assist in building and monitoring ETL/ELT pipelines
- ▸Help validate data quality and investigate anomalies
- ▸Document data schemas and pipeline architecture
Requirements
- ▸Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- ▸Strong SQL skills — joins, aggregations, window functions
- ▸Python proficiency for data processing (pandas, NumPy)
- ▸Understanding of data modelling and database design
Nice to Have
- ▸Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
- ▸Familiarity with Apache Spark, Airflow, or dbt
- ▸Interest in large-scale data systems and distributed computing
