Compensation & Benefits Manager

Design the compensation and benefits programmes that let TAL Corp attract and retain world-class talent — competitively and fairly.

About This Role

Fair, competitive compensation is both an ethical commitment and a strategic necessity at TAL Corp. This role owns the frameworks that make sure every employee is paid fairly and that our total comp package is compelling enough to recruit the best in the world.

Responsibilities
  • Design and own TAL Corp's compensation philosophy and salary banding framework
  • Manage the annual compensation review and calibration process
  • Administer equity programmes — option grants, vesting, and employee education
  • Own benefits strategy and vendor management — health, dental, vision, 401k, wellness
  • Benchmark compensation against market data and recommend adjustments
  • Ensure compensation practices comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Build pay equity analysis processes and reporting
Requirements
  • BS in Human Resources, Finance, or Business
  • 5+ years compensation and benefits experience, ideally at a tech company
  • Deep understanding of equity compensation — stock options, RSUs, 409A valuations
  • Experience with compensation benchmarking tools (Radford, Levels.fyi, Mercer)
  • Strong analytical and Excel/data modelling skills
  • Knowledge of relevant employment law and compensation compliance requirements
Nice to Have
  • Experience designing compensation for AI research roles
  • Background in executive compensation or global compensation programmes
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification
