AI Product Engineer
Build end-to-end AI-powered product features — owning both the prompt engineering, RAG architecture, and the product surface users experience.
About This Role
AI Product Engineers at TAL Corp sit at the intersection of LLM capabilities and user needs — building the features that demonstrate what AGI-level intelligence can do for real people.
Responsibilities
- ▸Design and build AI-powered product features from prompt to UI
- ▸Own RAG pipeline design, vector store integration, and retrieval quality
- ▸Build and iterate on system prompts, few-shot examples, and evaluation sets
- ▸Instrument product telemetry to measure AI feature quality and user satisfaction
- ▸Collaborate with research team to incorporate new model capabilities into products
Requirements
- ▸BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- ▸3+ years software engineering, with 1+ years building LLM-integrated products
- ▸Strong Python and TypeScript
- ▸Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar RAG frameworks
- ▸Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector)
Nice to Have
- ▸Experience with fine-tuning or PEFT methods
- ▸Background in information retrieval or search
- ▸Prior work building AI products at scale
