AI Policy Lead
Shape how TAL Corp engages with regulators and standards bodies to build governance frameworks that protect people.
About This Role
TAL Corp's open charter depends on strong policy work. This role owns our relationship with government and civil society.
Responsibilities
- ▸Build and manage relationships with AI regulators and standards bodies globally
- ▸Represent TAL Corp in government hearings, consultations, and working groups
- ▸Draft public position papers and regulatory responses
- ▸Partner with legal on compliance for new model deployments
- ▸Monitor the global AI policy landscape and brief leadership weekly
Requirements
- ▸JD, MPP, or equivalent policy experience
- ▸5+ years in tech policy, government affairs, or regulatory strategy
- ▸Deep understanding of AI governance frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST, ISO)
- ▸Excellent written and verbal communication
- ▸Existing relationships with AI policy stakeholders preferred
Nice to Have
- ▸Prior work at a government AI office or think tank
- ▸Technical background in ML or computer science
- ▸Experience with international standards bodies
