AI for Science Researcher

About This Role
TAL Corp's Stage III mission is autonomous research acceleration. This role builds the AI systems that generate hypotheses, design experiments, and help scientists work at superhuman speed.
Responsibilities
- ▸Design AI systems for scientific hypothesis generation and experiment planning
- ▸Build domain-specific fine-tuned models for medicine, chemistry, and materials science
- ▸Develop evaluation frameworks for scientific discovery tasks
- ▸Collaborate with external research partners and domain scientists
- ▸Publish scientific AI research at Nature, Science, and top ML venues
Requirements
- ▸PhD in Computational Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field with strong ML skills
- ▸Deep understanding of scientific methodology and reproducibility standards
- ▸Experience applying ML to scientific problems
- ▸Strong Python skills and familiarity with scientific computing libraries
- ▸Publication record spanning both ML and the target scientific domain
Nice to Have
- ▸Experience with drug discovery, protein structure prediction, or materials property prediction
- ▸Background in laboratory science
- ▸Familiarity with AlphaFold, ESMFold, or similar scientific AI systems
